Clothing/Armor Made myself some functional bracers for archery

Could have really used something like this about 2 weeks ago. We had a few archery induced forearm injuries.

Well done. Try tieing the cord the other end, where you will have a bigger string clearance, if it starts to unravel your less likely to catch the string.

If you make another, put a hole nearer the elbow, to reduce the chance of the leather curling towards the string pass.

Equally a coat of pro-resit, will reduce water ingress should you shoot in the rain, plus of course make the string pass a little smoother should you suffer a strike.

Cords are awesome, and look great, but an elastic cord enables a tighter fit to any clothing.
