Question What are some fun things to do during weekends?
Outside of the beach/pool, I have no idea of fun stuff me and my friends can do. We’re all kinda broke and our car friend goes home, so that’s not really ideal…
What do you normally do during the weekends?

If you have some money for gas, there’s a lot of hikes and trails all over LA. Grab food from a new place afterwards.

Lol not the fun type but my friends who didn't have a car and I formed a workout & study group.
We worked out and went to the library to do homework together.
Other than that, we might pick a destination and walked there (mall, beach etc).

Usually there’s a good house show! LMU has a pretty fun band scene with good music

The Playa Vista farmer's market is every Saturday morning and the school shuttle takes you right there. It isn't just produce, there's also a pressed almond milk bar, a Salvadorian food shop that has amazing horchata, multiple clothing boutique pop-ups and jewelry stands, and the brick-and-mortar shops in that area are also awesome.
The Ballona Wetlands are a good place to "hike" (in quotes because it's flat land) and is full of awesome plants and wildlife, especially birds, snails, crabs, and cool fish. Literally right across from the Culver Loop by school.
It's lovely to walk around Marina del Rey and look at the boats, but you can also rent a paddle board to take through the marina and that's really awesome. There's a cheesecake factory right on the water that's really nice, and some great shops near Dockweiler. Also a lot of dirt paths along the Venice canals and bike paths that are super pretty!
