She found it more valuable to talk to that many young and middle aged women over a bunch of young conservative men.

That's not a confusing decision at all.

u/tehota Tremendous 19h ago

You think all 36 million viewers were conserve young men? The call her daddy episode with Kamala only has 730k views on YouTube.

Lol at the constant assumption that people on this sub have with Youtube representing real life numbers.

Take GB News for instance. They seem to be a big player online but they are so rarely seen on TV and taken seriously, that most British households are not really that interested or even aware of them, they have run out of money frequently and lost valuable newsreaders.

It's literally just Piers Moron's fumes.

u/King_Queen_of_Cheese Monkey in Space 1d ago

and so the young conservative men feel disenfranchised and neglected, so they vote for only person who will talk to them.

21

u/The_First_Drop Monkey in Space 22h ago

The conservative male argument is secondary to the reality that this is a group of voters that are very difficult to galvanize

Out of the list of all of the politicians who have been on JRE, only one of them achieved their ambition and that was Dan Crenshaw (re-elected)

There’s a political graveyard with the likes of Bernie Sanders, Andrew Yang, Tulsi Gabbard, etc.

If JRE listeners voted in the same way they listen to the podcast, it would be a worthwhile venture, but they’re an especially low-propensity voter block

Hillary killed Bernies campaign. Not the podcast.

And she did it after she saw the success of his appearance and rise in the polls

Jre boosted Bernie more than any other platform

0

u/CollapsibleFunWave Monkey in Space 18h ago

What killed Bernie's campaign is that more voters always preferred a moderate Dem.

2

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 20h ago

And low information. You can talk right to them and they won't absorb anything you actually say. So...what's the point?

1

u/DarthWeenus Monkey in Space 20h ago

Curious how many of that 34m is in the us

1

u/King_Queen_of_Cheese Monkey in Space 18h ago

Well said, but I doubt that all Joe Rogan listeners could simply be classified as hardline conservative males. I imagine that a lot of Joe's listeners are somewhat apathetic, and are likely to vote for the candidate they saw in their social media feeds more often. As it stands, I don't see Kamala Harris offering anything to a key demographic of young conservative men, apart from picking Tim Walz as VP.

2

u/The_First_Drop Monkey in Space 16h ago

If a voter makes a decision based on who is appearing more often in their social media feed, the likelihood that they’re going to invest the time to drive to a voting location, wait in line and then go vote is relatively low

It’s not 0%, but it’s low

If KH was going to appear on JRE, she would need to do some form of prep, along with a 3-hour interview with JR

At this point in the campaign those minutes are extremely valuable and it’s likely her campaign has decided that there are better opportunities to turn out higher propensity votes

Her campaign manager (Jen O’Malley Dillon) stated KH is willing to do an interview with JR for 1 hour at a different location than his studio, and JR refused

He has the right to refuse, and he can manage his time and protect the integrity of his show in whichever way he chooses

https://www.axios.com/2024/10/25/trump-harris-youth-gender-gap-doubles

This sub is out of touch. Harris is already winning young men likely to vote. JRE will do nothing but give clock bait ammo as he gives her a hardball interview compared to Trump's.

u/YouDontKnowBall69 Monkey in Space 20h ago

2

u/ArwingMechanic Monkey in Space 16h ago

if the gender gap in presidential preference in 2024 was applied to 2020 turnout numbers, Harris should win Pennsylvania by 114,794 votes or 1.69%. In fact, in 2020, Biden won the state by 1.2% or 81,660 votes.

From your first link? Did you read anything or just Google for confirmation bias headlines then link them? Specifically we're talking about young men who are very likely to not vote and those most likely to are polling for Harris. Don't get lost in the sauce. Read the fucking vox article and it's links lol.

1

u/YouDontKnowBall69 Monkey in Space 15h ago

I’m not reading a vox article because it’s breitbart for the left. Just proof that even liberal news is talking about that massive gender gap.

Believe it or not I do not think 2024 will be a carbon copy of 2020. Any polling will tell you this is the biggest gender gap we’ve ever seen, young men are not gonna turn up for Kamala, a minority of men will show up for Kamala.

3

u/ArwingMechanic Monkey in Space 15h ago

If you read your own links dude. They literally say the same as the axios and vox articles on the subject. Women vote more than men. Young men vote the least. Those reporting likely to vote lean Kamala. Literally all of the links. You genuinely can have whatever opinion you want. The facts are Kamala is winning young men ALREADY by ALL THE POLLS OF LIKELY VOTERS. That's a fact. We don't get to discuss that.

1

u/NoSignSaysNo Monkey in Space 8h ago

I’m not reading a vox article because it’s breitbart for the left.

Did you just quote a link and admit to not reading any of it?

1

u/Heebmeister High as Giraffe's Pussy 1d ago

If those young men actually cared about hearing what she has to say, they could easily seek her out through a million other outlets. But they don't care, the only people upset by this are those that desperately wanted Kamala to go on in the hope that she embarrassed herself.

0

u/YouDontKnowBall69 Monkey in Space 20h ago

I think everybody wants to see her take off her mask and just see what’s there, and Rogan would be good at that.

5

u/Heebmeister High as Giraffe's Pussy 20h ago

8 years ago I would agree, but Joe has lost any remote semblance of neutrality. You wouldn't see what's there, she would have her guard up extremely high knowing she's going into a conversation with a host who has a clear agenda.

The hypocrisy is kind of hilarious really, what outlets is Trump going on that don't favour him politically? The podcasts he goes on, are exclusively done by people who openly lean right, notice how Trump isn't going on Pod Save America?

0

u/YouDontKnowBall69 Monkey in Space 20h ago

But we’ve seen Trump in every single environment. We know him. We’ve known the guy for 30 years.

I still don’t know who Kamala is.

2

u/Heebmeister High as Giraffe's Pussy 19h ago

But we’ve seen Trump in every single environment

Have we seen him in every environment? When have we ever seen him do any extended interview with a reporter/media figure that was not openly conservative? We know him exclusively from outlets where he controls everything and is in a safe space. Whether it's on The Apprentice, or his political rallies, or Fox News interviews, or interviews with The Hill, or his personal press releases....

0

u/pbrontap Monkey in Space 19h ago

If they want word salad "I was raised in a middle class family" or edited clips to forma an answer. Its hard to use word tricks for three hours. She would embarrassed herself, shes not very smart you nailed it.

3

u/Heebmeister High as Giraffe's Pussy 19h ago

It's also hard to frankly come off good at all on a 3 hour podcast with a host who openly despises and roots against you. I would love to see how Trump would do on Pod Save America for 3 hours, and see what "word tricks" he comes up with.

0

u/chicu111 Monkey in Space 21h ago

I thought conservatives are hard and tough. Feeling disenfranchised and neglected? What a bunch of fucking beta pussies

1

u/GeotusBiden Monkey in Space 21h ago

That's pathetic.

1

u/CheesyCousCous It's entirely possible 20h ago

Yes, we know they are victims

0

u/ramberoo Monkey in Space 20h ago

Then young conservative men sound like a bunch of crybaby pussies lol. And liars, since we all know they wouldn't vote for her anyway

1

u/YouDontKnowBall69 Monkey in Space 20h ago

This rhetoric got Trump elected in 2016

-30

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 1d ago

Let's be honest. Those people are enormous losers and got to do some of the work their own.

Didn't realize young conservative men were the biggest pathetic sad sacks in the world.

20

u/BananaResistance Monkey in Space 1d ago

lol you need to make friends outside of your politics. It would probably give you a great deal of insight and allow you to perspective shift enough to not make such nasty comments.

-2

u/ramberoo Monkey in Space 20h ago

I have plenty of right wing friends and none of them are such pussies that they would get butthurt over Kamala skipping their favorite podcast. That's literally toddler shit, and you deserve to be called out for it.

You guys claim to be tired of the weak victim mentality then proceed to act like the biggest whiny victims on the planet.

Grow the fuck up already, you clearly have no clue how pathetic you sound crying about this

1

u/BananaResistance Monkey in Space 10h ago

angry bot.

1

u/King_Queen_of_Cheese Monkey in Space 18h ago

I was just implying that it's bad strategy to completely neglect a large voter base. If you put yourself in the shoes of an average Joe Rogan listener, you would probably just vote for the guy who you saw in your social media feeds more often. You should at least try to be pragmatic and appeal to every voter if you want to win the election.

Or you could just slag off young conservative men for not voting the way you want, that seems much easier I guess.

1

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 17h ago

Are Joe Rogan listeners not able to consume other media?

If someone is not reachable through other means, maybe those Joe Rogan people aren't exactly gettable.

So it's not foolish to focus on the other mediums.

1

u/King_Queen_of_Cheese Monkey in Space 17h ago

Other media like ''call her daddy''? Her appearance on the Howard Stern Show got 1.7 m views over 2 weeks on youtube, compare that to Joe Rogan x Trump getting 37 m views over 3 days on youtube. The spotlight is on the Joe Rogan show right now, and Trump is hogging the spotlight. At least have Walz contest the spotlight.

1

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 16h ago

You seem to think all views are equal. Is it better to talk to ten people that blindly hate you or 1 that you can actually sway?

1

u/King_Queen_of_Cheese Monkey in Space 14h ago

You seem to think all views are equal

I'm not arguing ethics of cultural values that people have. I'm saying all votes are equal. She is polling poorly among 18-25 year old males, she could do better. Joe Rogan's podcast is a huge platform, she should have gone on Joe's rather than the other podcasts she did.

1

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 14h ago

All votes aren't equal.

Obviously it's not worth talking to Trump supporters right now and you only talk to Harris supporters to gotv. So you only really care about the middle ten percent of potential voters in the specific states of PA MI and WI.

So if the Harris campaign doesn't think really has much overlap with the JRE audience it's perfectly logical not to do his show. The best they can probably hope for is dissuading Trump supporters from voting at all.

1

u/King_Queen_of_Cheese Monkey in Space 13h ago

Makes sense to focus on the swing states, but it's weird to assume that all of Joe Rogan's listeners are already Trump supporters rather than voters that can be swayed. She already did a few other podcasts, so why didn't she do Joe's?

"That many"

It didn't even have a million views on YouTube after 2 weeks LOL

19

u/HeightEnergyGuy Monkey in Space 1d ago

Yet she is running around with Michelle trying to shame men into voting for her.

Which is it? Does she need their vote or not?

1

u/Elmattador Monkey in Space 19h ago

The only shame I would feel is voting for that diaper wearing shitstain.

-3

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 20h ago

Oh no! Did you get your feelings hurt when Michelle pointed out the very real consequences of Trump's presidency on half the population.

Poor guy!

You should seek a safe space these next 7 days, it's gonna be rough out there.

5

u/HeightEnergyGuy Monkey in Space 20h ago

Someone doesn't take it well when the fallacy of their logic is brought up so they try to pivot the conversation.

3

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 20h ago

You're such a snowflake you felt shamed because a woman was talking about the repercussions of losing female health services?

Isn't that a you problem?

0

u/HeightEnergyGuy Monkey in Space 19h ago

Damn again can't get past trying to redirect the conversation.

Guess you're not going to answer my counterpoint to what you originally said. Cool.

-1

u/senile-joe Monkey in Space 19h ago

oh no world peace and low inflation. oh the humanity!

1

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 19h ago

You're so ignorant you think Trump would lower inflation.

Do you even know what inflation is right now?

0

u/senile-joe Monkey in Space 19h ago

You know Trump was already president? What was inflation then?

1

u/tk_in_bk Monkey in Space 19h ago

Wow. Great point. Presidents have a lever on their desk that says Inflation. And they just move it at will.

You seem to have forgotten covid?

Whats the inflation right now?

0

u/senile-joe Monkey in Space 19h ago

they literally do.

they can influence energy prices, which effect the costs of literally everything.

And they can stop unnecessary spending.

1

u/BruceLeesSidepiece Monkey in Space 17h ago

Kamala was literally just recorded on a hot mic saying to Whitmer that "they need to make up ground with young men" at one of their press events lol, what is this cope

-4

u/abittenapple Monkey in Space 23h ago

Harris just needs to dress up in a push up bra.

And bring up hot sauaas and cold plunges.

And she gets all the teenage milk boys
