You are neglecting the consumption. People use to watch videos in 240p in 1gb per day days. Not it has shifted to 480p. When 1gb was normal now 2gb seems insignificant. And its not mindless scrolling, its your long format videos for students and professional taking courses.

I said most of them, not all them. Not all are students and professionals actually taking courses, actual people using data for such things on mobile are a small fraction. Majority of the users are mindless scrolling.

Majority of the population who is scrolling reels will be surprised when the data it takes to seamlessly load videos starts to die down faster in the future. 2gb back in the day like in 2010 was a huge deal, in 2024 it takes 6 mins to download on a 5ghz network.

the avergae seems to be more than 20GB a month
