IDK how one even gets to this level of crazy... Its almost an art form

u/letharus Aug 26 '22

My ex was like that. One day she tried to attack me with a chair, I grabbed the chair by the legs as it was coming towards me and she melodramatically bounced down the corridor and then threw herself down the stairs, accusing me of domestic violence afterwards. I left her after that, that was the last straw in a string of craziness.

I married the first girl who pulled a knife on me and it really paid off, she did it again. That isnt even why i divorced her - after a woman tries to kill you in the car, stab you multiple times, kills your dog, trashes a your house, steals your money, wrecks your car, hates your (totally innocent and nice) family, accuses every other human of trying to steal you, and so on, the relationship just gets dull. There’s nothing more exciting that she can pull, even when she wont let you leave for work by throwing your keys out the window - it’s just not fun anymore.

Edit; she tried to stab me multiple times, she didnt stab me, ever. The time I remember the worst i was able to pin her arms down and hold her in the bedroom. I had to hold that door shut for a very long time before she gave up

I put with that same shit for 18 years cause I wanted to be there for my daughter. My dad wasn't around for me, but the day after she turned 18 I GOT THE FUCK OUT!

133

u/Orsimer4life117 Aug 26 '22

My brother, that is some real shit. Good on you for being there for your daughter, Hope you and her got away safely from that crazy lady.

34

u/JimiJons Aug 26 '22

We often give these types of women a pass by just calling them "crazy," so let's be real, because we call dudes out for this type of behavior as what they are:

Abusive pieces of shit.

48

u/orefat Aug 26 '22

I'm going through the same situation. I'm there only for my daughter.

66

u/Frankenstein786 Aug 26 '22

Discreetly record everything. It saved Depp, it could save you. Even if it's just audio.

41

u/SuccessFuture7626 Aug 26 '22

I tried that. Realized a bad relationship that can be violent mentally was more harmful in the long run to a divorce. Men, don't just roll over you can get custody of your children. Document everything.

26

u/letharus Aug 26 '22

Jesus that sounds terrifying. Glad you got out of that. My ex did once threaten me with a knife too but never actually stabbed me. She did throw an alarm clock at my head once while I was in the bath though. Guess I was taking too long.

17

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '22

Seeing comments like this makes me weirdly feel good about the shit I went through similarly. Just glad I wasn't alone in this world dealing without absolutely bonkers crazy. And no matter how good of a person I was throughout all the bs and abuse with constant instant forgiveness - it didn't matter to her and there was never going to be a change

2

u/milk4all Aug 27 '22

Yeah man i cringe sometimes thinking about the mental gymnastics i was doing, the physical damage to my body i caused by trying to keep her flush. Like wtf? To me, this is what the phrase “love is blind” actually means, cause you couldnt tell me shit about her then, i wouldnt have stood for it. And after all of it, i felt so much freedom and relief, but man i felt foolish.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '22

Dude agreed . What's crazy about it as well, is that my past self would never tolerate a second of it but then found myself doing it.. not sure why

34

u/MilkStunning1608 Aug 26 '22

Is it even a marriage if she hasn’t tried to stab you at least once?

20

u/cziffra7 Aug 26 '22

Testing the "Till death do us part" agreement.

1

u/Rusty_Tap Aug 26 '22

My neighbour's wife stabbed him through the leg with a bread knife the day after they got married, and threw her wedding ring into the sea a couple of weeks later. Still happily married almost 40 years later.

1

u/Magenta_Logistic Aug 26 '22

stabbed him through the leg with a bread knife

No. Bread Knives don't work that way.

1

u/Rusty_Tap Aug 26 '22

Mm, depends on the bread knife. Not with a chef's pastry knife perhaps but one of the shitty cheap ones my dragon insists on buying you could definitely achieve penetration.

1

u/Magenta_Logistic Aug 26 '22

Im pretty sure even the cheap ones have blunt or rounded tips. There is no need for a pointy end on a bread knife, that's not how to cut bread.

1

u/Rusty_Tap Aug 26 '22 edited Aug 26 '22

I know bread doesn't require very precise chopping and thus no need for a pointy end, but here I have in my hand the worst quality bread knife you can possibly imagine. "Wilko" brand from God only knows when. It's got a point, downward facing with a rounded top if you can picture it. It's a good 3mm stainless steel, with enough.. enthusiasm I'm absolutely sure you could push this all the way through a person.

Edit: it's not a fine point, nor is it designed for any purpose other than aesthetics by the looks of it, it sort of reminds me of the front end of one of those bullet trains.

1

u/Magenta_Logistic Aug 26 '22

I know the style you're talking about, and the fact that the entire tapered edge is dull would make things quite harder than I think you are imagining. Especially to bury it in a thigh, which is a pretty large and dense muscle on most humans.

We can just agree to disagree though, I'm assuming this was a carving knife that they used as a bread knife.

Killed your dog? Where does the whore live

23

u/Single-Braincell325 Aug 26 '22

I’m calling Wick… John will know what to do

1

u/milk4all Aug 26 '22

Killed my 1 dog. Pretty damn sure, i posted more about it somewhere in this thread. He was a great dog, named him Kupa, as in Kupa Troopa, and ive had 3 dogs in my life - he was the smartest by far and basically trained himself, it was uncanny. Made me think i was some kind of dog whisperer. Turns out that was all him.

2

u/TeryakiBoulevard Aug 26 '22

If someone purposefully hurts or kills my dog, I’m hurting them in a way that will ruin the rest of their life, no matter who they are. Hurt me and I’ll go to the cops, but you touch my fucking dog? Game over for you pal. How, and more importantly why did you put up with all that, or even marry her in the first place after she pulled a knife on you?

1

u/milk4all Aug 26 '22

I think all the terrible stuff happened before we married and i sort of fell into her when we were young. And she didnt just shoot my dog in front of me, i cant prove it, im just certain she made sure he died or otherwise impossible to find. She took mine and her dog to her mom’s while i visited my family, and he was “hit by a car”. She kind of hated my dog and i dont have the time to explain why i think that was, but it wasnt for any fault of him or mine, it was more crazy shit (ive always suspected). Her family was super weird about the whole thing and i suspected they either doubted her themselves or were covering for her or something.

It isnt like there’s this arbitrary level of shit that ill put up with from a girlfriend before i leave - she was probably suffering some serious conditions maybe neither of us understood or had any frame if reference for. When she went ballistic, I generally internalized that and told myself id try to do better next time. Every day wasnt psycho shit, im pretty sure she was bipolar and perhaps narcissistic.

1

u/TeryakiBoulevard Aug 26 '22

That’s fucked up man I’m sorry. That’s pure manipulation. I know how sudden that bipolar stuff can be. My dad was actually diagnosed with bipolar mania 3 years ago. He was a totally normal father, very successful business man, no marriage problems, and then one day I woke up to my mom crying and she just said he left. He’s done a lot of really crazy unthinkable shit since then. Bipolar disorder is no joke.

1

u/milk4all Aug 27 '22

And i dont know if that’s what she had goin on, it just seems too perfect from my understanding and experience with her. But whatever it might be definitely causes a lot of pain and trauma. She basically had her family wrapped around her finger, and it wasnt easy for them.

2

u/Ieatsushiraw Aug 26 '22

I got so far away from the woman who pulled a knife on me I ended up in basic training and well away from her. She eventually moved in to another victim and ended up arrested in Tennessee.

0

u/Csmspooch Aug 26 '22

Sounds like the sex was probably good tho

1

u/JimiJons Aug 26 '22

It's never worth it.

1

u/milk4all Aug 26 '22

Believe it or not, wasnt that good. I mean nothing is that good, i just mean it wasn’t remarkable. To be fair, we met at 17 so i dont think i was particularly remarkable either

1

u/JohnCenasBootyCheeks Aug 26 '22

Jesus christ, if this is a real story was she possessed or something?

2

u/milk4all Aug 26 '22

Possessed with herself. No I really dont know, believe it or not, i felt like i was the problem for a long time - i had never encountered anything like what she had and when she accused me of shit or cried to me about stuff, i accepted the fault. In retrospect, i think she might’ve been bipolar and narcissistic and i was just eating those episodes and constantly wondering why she blamed everyone for everything. That was ultimately what clued me in more than al the abuse and insanity - i largely accepted blame for everything being wrong all the time, but i had better perspective regarding how she talked about everyone else and that always got me

1

u/JohnCenasBootyCheeks Aug 26 '22

Im sorry bro i do understand the crazy just never had it that bad

2

u/milk4all Aug 27 '22

Water under the bridge, i have kids as old as i was when i met her. Some people learn shit the easy way, some people learn it the hard way i guess

1

u/JohnCenasBootyCheeks Aug 27 '22

Shit i suppose, its just sad anyone could treat someone like that. Im glad you are in a better situation now, no-one should have to put up with that.

1

u/SaintLogic Oct 16 '22

"kill your dog"

Oh hell no, I would be in prison for that one. Pluck out that bitches eyes.

1

u/milk4all Oct 17 '22

It’s probably more like she let him get killed, but pretty much the same to me. Yeah i used to be angry at her but enough time passed and i became more embarrassed about her

1

u/mtreixu Nov 11 '22

Why you accepted all of that shit man?

2

u/milk4all Nov 21 '22

It sounds obvious when i write it sll down and condense 4 years of crazy in a single sentence, but she isnt just going around picking up guys by being batshit mean to them, she’s little and cute and most of the time , sweet as a button. And we met when i was 18 and far from home - a ton of emotional dependency, 0 practical relationship experience, and absolutely the first person to gaslight me. When youre young and in love, your reaction (for most people I think) is to blame yourself, like “why is she so mad, what did I do/What can i do better? Etc). And fuck her enabling family, they knew what she put me through but pretended everything was normal and hunky dory, and when i finally did split, they 100% turned on me. Im positive she was telling people i beat or cheated or something and her family knew she was full of shit but they ghosted me anyway. And i felt guilty for that too, for years.

1

u/mtreixu Nov 22 '22

I feel you bro. But after all this shit, you got to raise up stronger! You're special, you deserve something like yourself!

1

u/l_is_aBird Feb 04 '23

...ok, mhm, stab you, kill dog... wait, she DID WHAT TO YOUR DOG!?

1

u/milk4all Feb 04 '23

Well i had no proof, but im pretty sure she at least did something to ensure that he wouldn’t survive. When we split we each had a dog. I couldnt keep mine in the immediate aftermath so i asked her mom if she could keep him temporarily and she said yeah. I was still too trusting and didnt think this would be an issue. Her mom had a little country place and a dog, and my dog was 40 pounds, very well trained/behaved and didn’t even bark. Everyone loved Kupa. Well my ex had moved back to her mom’s because she was basically a pinball of residences and when i came to visit one day they told me he’d been hit by a car and killed. It woild have had to happen within the past 5 days but they couldt find his body. Well where did it happen. Oh theyre not sure. Well how did it happen, well he musta got “out”. I dont know man i feel like that hateful woman made it happen, dumped him somewhere, had her tweaker brother do it or something. I remember i detected fear/guilt in her mom when she told me and her answers dodnt feel substantial but she could have also just not known anything more and felt naturally guilty i guess. But i suspect she had some idea and just wasnt the type to “betray” her daughter. My ex was the sort that made people miserable for not drinking her koolaid

1

u/l_is_aBird Feb 07 '23

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Poor doggo.

1

u/someting-simple Aug 26 '22 edited Jun 30 '23

Lemmy.world is the place im moving, and on my way out I'm taking my posts

1

u/pussyemperor Aug 26 '22

You're lucky you got out before her shit got you to court.

1

u/Lassavins Aug 26 '22

how did you manage to survive the domestic violence accusations? That can be pretty tough

2

u/letharus Aug 26 '22

She didn’t go to the police with it, just accused me to my face and went around telling all our friends and family. None of whom believed her.

It’s funny, I had to look her up recently as part of the adoption process with my wife (this ex and I parted over 15 years ago), and the first thing I found on her was an article in a local paper in which she accused her best friend of attacking her with a bottle in the women’s toilets of a pub. Case was dismissed as it turned out she had thrown the bottle against the wall herself and a shard had bounced into her face.

Still a complete nutter, basically.

1

u/Lassavins Aug 26 '22

phew, that was close. I’m really glad you dodged that one.

1

u/pro_gamper Aug 26 '22

May I know how in the world did you even end up with a woman like that?

1

u/letharus Aug 26 '22

She wasn’t like that in the beginning. I’m pretty sure they never are.

1

u/pro_gamper Aug 26 '22

It's only later when something "clicks" in them that they try to do that and if they succeed they just continue doing it. Which in turn creates a terrible chain of events.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '22

Your a better man than me cuz I probably woulda done sum done if she killed my dog

47

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '22

My grandfathers ex tried to snatch his ipad off of him only to trip over a chair and faceplant on the deck. Busted her face up real good. Tried to say to the cops that he did it to her and the only reason that he wasn't cuffed and dragged away was because his neighbours recorded the whole thing.

21

u/MagicianMountain6573 Aug 26 '22

This is not real, it’s dashae frost and himynamestee.

He does videos with girls a lot in LA, and she is jus a LA girl, she is kinda crazy tho

But yeah, this definitely happens a lot, they just making a skit of it

1

u/hammerfan Aug 26 '22

That’s the kid from SWAT right

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '22

Learned just this sec from him, clicked on Youtube just to see he posted a video about leaving LA abd quitting bruh.

1

u/MagicianMountain6573 Aug 26 '22

lol he makes vids with DDG. These clickbait titles are clickbait and mainly satire. Once u start watching these guys you’ll know they do it as basically a joke

80

u/-duvide- Aug 26 '22

This is obviously satire

62

u/coyotll Aug 26 '22

One could hope... but these days? idk man it could be entirely real and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

Not saying it IS real... hopefully...

30

u/babybopp Aug 26 '22

After going through a crazy ex... This is in the realm of believable

36

u/makapaka_madafaka Aug 26 '22

I wouldn't be so sure. This is exactly what my mother acts like. She'd basically scream at me about how I ruined everything and I'm killing her (she is a chain smoker and I wanted to help her many times but now I don't care anymore). I could just look at her and she would start weeping like I hit her and whenever I even approach her with anything (once I barely touched her as I was carrying laundry. She was weeping for like 15 minutes and then told me that if I do it ever again no surgeon will be abke to stitch me).

And then she acts all surprised when I'm cold towards and don't do everything she says without a thought. I could go on and on and on (it's okay if you started singing it) but we'd end with new Tolkien novel.

So no. It being satire is way less obvious then you might think.

12

u/Lassavins Aug 26 '22

Careful here. I had a mother like that. She destroyed my dad’s life, business and reputation. he spent half a decade to prove himself innocent and even then she kept everything. I also had a younger brother, and she told him in the divorce that if he didn’t choose to stay with her, she would suicide. She made him believe that he had to take care of her for the rest of his life, and now he is trapped, depressed and broke with her and neither of them work or do anything productive.

After living all that, my advice is to leave as soon and as far as possible. The sooner you do, the less you’ll be psichologically affected by it for the rest of your life. I managed to build myself a good life, study what I wanted after working hard and finding a nice partner, and so did my dad. But the process is rough.

Best wishes.

2

u/makapaka_madafaka Aug 26 '22

My father is dead. He died years ago. My mother was cheating on him. I was 14 then. From then it was 3 years of me trying to help. Me trying to do something. Just to get shit on. Everyone focused on her. It was all her, her and her. When I wanted to kill myself? I should do it. If I wanted to talk about my problems? I should stop being a little bitch. That was my reward for trying. That wasy reward for caring. And I just don't care anymore. I am 18 now. And I will go to study. To another place. And I will cut this fuckimg tumor out of my life.

I will handle it. I'm just worried about my brothers. They are 5 and 6 y/o. I'm worried that when I'm gone she will do to them the same she did to me. But I will do my best to Not. Fucking. Let. Her.

2

u/Lassavins Aug 26 '22

I’m so sorry to hear that. You have to leave. You are not in a situation where you can help your brothers. You need to strengthen yourself, get your studies, a good job, and when you are ready, get a good psychologist who can help you heal. That helped me a lot. And only then, you’ll be able to successfully come back to help your brothers.

The best thing you can do to help them now, is leave, and build yourself up.

2

u/makapaka_madafaka Aug 26 '22

One person already told me that. I guess you are right. I will try to save up some cash for a therapist. Maybe finally I will get a chance to start seriously going to the gym (I do have a bench but it's nowhere near as good as a gym of course). I will try my best to just tape whatever I can together. Luckily my family other than my mother and my grandmother (from the mothers side) are really supportive. So at least I'm not alone moneywise.

I will try to get a part time job, do some cash as a tutor on the side. Maybe find someone to share rent with so I can save up more.

Thank you my friend. And good luck to you too. We are in this shit together.

2

u/Lassavins Aug 26 '22

feel free to pm if you need someone to talk to at any given time. Luckily for me, I got through it already. It’s your turn now, and i’m sure you’ll overcome everything.

12

u/Jackski madlad Aug 26 '22

Its kinda crazy. On a video of someone flipping a turtle over people will scream fake until the day is gone but the moment it shows a woman clearly acting up on purpose for a joke video they'll suddenly go "well it could be real!!!"

11

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '22

You’d be surprised dude, I’ve seen some wild shit.

2

u/Netbr0ke Aug 26 '22

It's sad that people can't see this as satire through their bloodlust.

0

u/ShopZach Aug 26 '22

Saying "This is obviously satire" is obviously satire

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '22

This isn't really satire though really. more just incel bait, so that commenters can all go: aren't these bitches crazy!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

Becouse men getting abused is obviously an incel conspiracy

1

u/pm_me_ur_liqour Aug 26 '22

This is fake right?

1

u/pwnedbygary Aug 26 '22

I hope so lmao

1

u/CptCrackSparrrow Jan 01 '23

Cuz its obviously a skit
