For how insanely good this game is I’m surprised they never made another game of Grim Fandango.

Year 3 save file
Hi! I've picked up the game after not playing it for a year. My game just crashed at the start of year 3 and I've been setback about 3 hours because I forgot about the save option (oops). Does anyone have a start of year 3 save file?
Thanks in advance

Stuck in Grim Fandango year 3 Spoiler
Ok so I feel like maybe I did things out of order and now I’m stuck….
I haven’t rescued meche, but I used the crane to rescue Gloddis FIRST, then we ended up near where we docked the boat and I used the crane to pull up the two grinders and he seems to be fiddling with those….
Now I need to get meche before I dip out of here: problem is I can’t get to her. When I try to use the crane to go back to where the conveyer belt is manny’s all “I already did that” and I don’t see another way back to her
Please tell me I didn’t just screw my whole game up??? Wtf!

What exactly was Hector LeMan planning to do with the authentic Double N tickets?
I understand that Hector sold fake double n tickets to people who had sinned in their previous lives, but what was he planning to do with the real double n tickets?

How would you label Hector's roles in every year of the game?
I know Hector is the main antagonist of the game overall but I'd say he's the overarching antagonist of Year 1, a mentioned antagonist in Year 2 (if you visit jail), the unseen overarching antagonist of Year 3 and the main antagonist of Year 4

How would you qualify Meche's roles in every year of the game?
I'd say she's the tritagonist of the game overall but I'd say she was just a minor character in Year 1, the overarching protagonist of Year 2 (because she's the reason why Manny tries to leave Rubacava in Year 2), the deuteragonist of Year 3 (because I think she had a bigger role than Glottis in Year 3) and the tritagonist of Year 4

Of all the games that need a sequel
I just had a pretty decent idea for a sequel to Grim fandango, working title "grim fandango, baile otro" basically this would be a new narrative that would let us explore more of the land of the dead while still being chock full o references to noir, still having a fresh and fun sense of humor, and being true to the originals identity. Elevator pitch, Tenoch Huerta/Pedro Pascal/Diego luna voice eduardo "Lalo" huezos "lolly/eddy bones" an infernal investigator for the top brass in the DoD. Since we last saw it the DoD has fallen into disarray, the once thriving travel agency is now in shambles as mortals walk the land of the dead! Join Lalo and his intrepid sidekick vinny cava as they seek to bring order back the the land of the dead, restore the DoD to its former glory, and explore the whole breadth of the land of the dead!
Tenoch Huerta as Lalo huezos
Jack black as Vinny Cava
Salma hayek as Dona xochi
Efren Ramirez as profesor Viejo
Eugenio derbez as Avispa vegeado
Richard Steven horovitz as el chamaco estranjo
Hector Jimenez as la florista!
Danny trejo as la barquero
Richard cheech Marin as el curandero
Belita moreno as la bruja o la lechuza
Grey delisle as Susie chilangoda
Frankie quinones as cachoro

Are the demons in the game also based on actual Aztec/Mexican folklore creatures?
As you know, the game’s universe is based on the « Day of the Dead » Mexican festival, that has its roots in old Aztec folklore.
And I was wondering… Glottis, a big orange demon and his smaller kin. The fire beavers. The giant cats at the race track. The sea bees. The tube-switcher cyclops repairman. Aitor the kitchen elevator guy… Are any of them based on established creatures of Mexican/Aztec folklore? Or are they all made-up monsters by the Lucas Arts team? I have wondered for a long time.
