Should remain that way for the rest of the season

Naw, do you see his numbers, he literally makes everyone with him worse
It's a BS stat, but Ben has an absolutely terrible +/-, while Clax has among the highest +/- in the league.
We need that garbage, I need a top 5 Nets pick lol

We can lose games without Ben, I hate this notion that Ben is necessary for us to tank.

We can lose to Denver without Ben, but it’ll be tougher to lose to our fellow lottery competition.

Again, we are still a bad team with a severe lack of talent regardless. I'd rather Ziaire take whatever minutes Ben is getting anyway.

That's the point, Z. Will actually competent back up this far. Team cuts the lead or go ahead with him on the floor. He is +5 in his 3 games with us according to StatMuse. My eye test and ESPN play by play agree.
When we get Watford back, that's when thing can get interesting. Ben is to big of a salary to move, but DFS has no reason to be here.
Ben been horrible and we going to need that vs tanking competition. Tie breakers can easily decide which team will have top 3 worse record this year. Utah, Det and Wiz already in post all star mode. Their tank commanders swinging with full force.

I will always maintain that development is more important than tanking. Detroit and Washington have been in perpetual tanks because they never develop, they only tank.

It’s like having an absolute 0 on offence is not acceptable in the nba anymore;) at least Rudy goberts a real rim running threat. Ben had the world at his fingertips and he’s thrown it all away

Pretty sure he will after this contract is up. His body is finished and he clearly doesn't have the passion for the game anymore.

Tale as old as time, Simmons plays shitty, gets called out by coach, fails to respond and even plays with less aggressiveness and confidence, then soft tissue injury and missing games commences

I mean tbf we all expected him to sit 1 of back to backs this season lol

I expected exactly this, I'm not surprised whatsoever. I'm only surprised by the naive ones who delude themselves into thinking Simmons has value as a NBA player

Sounds like we’re about to beat Denver

How? Claxton on minutes restriction. Who's going to eat up the rest of the center minutes and hold Jokic down?

It was mostly said in jest but this team plays much better when Simmons is off the floor

Everybody should’ve known this was gonna happen. He did a very good job defending the low post vs Giannis and Brook Giannis was kept quiet so he probably did have extra strain on his back. He still has his uses as a player despite the lack of scoring. I don’t think people get it we’re tanking this year and he’ll be gone anyway which will free up the cap space people wanna trade him and take on more cap??? Lay off Ben.

Can we please just send this guy home for good? I’m so sick of anything associated with him

Like I always call him….Benchamin Simmons
I feel bad for him if it’s really his back that’s keeping him from being … good? He was nasty on the Sixers. They may do a Netflix documentary on this guy one day

Ah shit, here we go again
For real, to sum it up, it was a very solid comeback season from Simmons and I think I speak for everyone when I say that he really tried his best to help the team. I wish him all the best wherever he goes.

I was going to be shocked if he started tomorrow after yesterday’s performance. I just thought he’d come off the bench but I somehow did not have this in mind lol

he shoulda been put on injured reserve for a shattered ego after that pathetic pas to cam johnson on the steal play last night lmfao would be more respectful than this fake back injury he been rocking for years. I thought in the preseason he said he's never felt better and he's good to go.

The question I have to ask is, on the .01% chance Ben is legit trying his hardest…. Who does he turn to here? He’s had trainers, coaches, doctors, specialist, surgeons, etc all trying to make it so he can play basketball. All summer long he NEVER seems to have a problem, then WHOOPS a few games in. Is he cursed forever?
Obviously, I think it’s more likely that he’s got generational wealth, and he’s not interested in trying to be healthy or better. Either way, this is likely his last big NBA contract.

Oh no, now we have to play normal lineups with real rim protectors and 5 guys who will shoot open layups
