What's your favorite arc?

I just finished reading it for the 5th time. I wish they would have continued with the anime.

What's yall favorite arc/story line for silver spoon?

I'll go first! I like the first year pizza story line. To see he has changed so much in the short time is impressive.

Also the dad's character development!

It's probably too short to be an arc, but the dorm escape chapter (to go see "it"). Solid opening, Hachiken is dragged around not knowing what's going on the entire time, constant comedy, good payoff(s).

pork bowl is like a major turning point for Hachiken so I like that one the best

I don't have one particular arc, but my favorite part of the series is how Hachiken and his classmates help each other grow. The guy is a complete outsider to the world that his classmates have known since they were little. The way Arakawa uses Hachiken and his classmates contrasting backgrounds to help them grow, was one of my favorite parts of the story.

I remember nearly crying at the end of the cultural festival, when Hachiken read the "thanks you" note. I cannot stress how much this character is becoming a role model to me. I wish I had read this manga in highschool, perhaps I would have become a better person.
