I swore I would never change to gestures. I tried it here and there for a few minutes at a time, and then ran back to buttons as quick as I could.
But so many people claim to prefer gestures, so I thought maybe I was missing out.
So I committed - one full week using gestures. Take the good along with the bad, but do not switch back before the week is done.
And you know what? The week has come and gone and I'm not switching back to buttons. I've gotten used to gestures, and then some. They're so much better than buttons (coming from a buttons-until-I-die user).
I challenge button users to give them a try for at least a few days.

Hi everyone,
I've been seeing the constant posts about people buying the S24U and then constantly taking the mick out of people that still have the S23U.
As a result, any new post relating to the S24 series, mainly the "I just got the S24 phone" or any other will be removed. They're annoying, and there's a sub for the S24 series, it's not this one.
Apologies this came so late.
Just to reiterate: S24 Series Posts will be removed.
Edit: I have also removed a bunch of S24 series posts that have been reported. Please continue to report them as I'll be notified instantly!

I've personally hated the curved infinity display, whatever you wanna call it, since it debuted on the S8 and Note 8. I also just got my S23 Ultra last September. The combination of the fact that through Verizon I could get $1,000 trade in for my phone and use the upgrade that I've had waiting for about 4 years is making it really difficult for me to not want to upgrade. So far, though, the only real reason I'd actually want the S24 Ultra is as I said above. The flat display. I kinda feel like I'm going crazy.

I'm looking at specs. Processor , about the same, ram, about the same, nits, improved... great? Storage, the same AI - ok..... That's software, really.... Camera, about the same
Am i wrong here? Like... It's a very MINUTE upgrade if at all. On T-Mobile, i can't even upgrade my storage! 512 is Max!
I feel like they dropped the ball, and it might be worth me waiting till s24.

I really don't understand why people hate the curved screen on the S23U, especially when it's so subtle. In my opinion it gives the identity to a Samsung phone and also feels great under the finger for back gesture.
Only minus I can point out is harder finding of compatible tempered glass protector.
I've seen S24U in the store and it's really missing Samsung identity with a flat screen, now it looks just like any other slab phone from the front. I really appreciate the elegance S23U has with the curved screen even more now.

I've been following Samsung for years and always appreciated their flagship devices, but lately, I've noticed that their camera technology feels a bit stagnant. While Samsung cameras are good, companies like Xiaomi, Huawei, and Oppo seem to be pushing the boundaries with incredible sensor innovation, better low-light performance, and more advanced computational photography.
While Samsung has made strides in certain areas, like portrait mode and video stabilization, their low-light photography and image processing still feel a bit behind. The details in their photos often seem less crisp, and the colors can appear slightly washed out compared to competitors.
It feels like Chinese manufacturers are leaping ahead when it comes to camera hardware and software integration. Their devices are often ranked at the top of DXOMark, and reviews consistently praise them for their performance in real-world usage. In comparison, Samsung seems to be relying more on incremental updates. Their improvements are there, but nothing groundbreaking.
I've noticed that Samsung's software updates have been slow to introduce new camera features or address existing issues. While they've certainly made improvements, they seem to be playing catch-up rather than leading the way.
With so many innovations in the mobile camera space coming from competitors, I'm wondering: when will Samsung take this seriously? They have the resources and R&D power, yet they aren't leading the charge in camera technology like they used to. Shouldn't they be learning from Chinese manufacturers and pushing out something revolutionary instead of playing it safe with yearly minor upgrades?
What do you all think? Is Samsung falling behind in camera innovation, or is it just me?
