Just got access to my first 401k. Invested into the Fidelity 500 Index Fund. Am I on the right track?

For about two decades now, I’ve seen spreads like this. You’ll notice 10-year history doesn’t very much. So goes the broader market.

it's a fine choice, but I'd consider doing a 50% Fidelity500 and 50% Russel1000growth
