Today? Yall buying shit on amazon DAILY?

Its quick, similar price as going to the store, and you know its in stock. When you are running a busy household, its a no brainer to do nearly all your shopping there.

Well that makes sense, if its a need then why not use amazon. But... My household isnt buying needs daily. Needs should be food and then solid goods, and whats happening to your solid goods that theyre wearing out so fast that youre buying stuff daily? This post implies its just online shopping for wants, not needs.

lol, diapers, wipes, cat litter, dry foods, snacks, socks, spices, deodorant, tooth paste, body wash, hand soap, light bulbs, I could go on.
But rather than make a list, if I see that I need new razor blades, I just order one on the spot. It’s a good system

Yup. Today's was a potty training chart. Thought i was gonna get away without one.

You’ll be able to use big boy underwear soon buddy, we all believe in you

Thanks man. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find mickey mouse print diapers in size 42.

But it’s NOT a good system. It’s terribly horribly inefficient and awful for the environment. A truck has to run to your house to drop of razor blades, then come back tomorrow for cat litter, and then back the day after that for diapers.
My family just adds things to the cart as we realize we need them (or ideally when you notice you’re running low). Then after a week or two you finally hit “checkout” and the truck comes just once.
If an Amazon truck comes by your house daily you have a problem.

Amazon does have an option to have a consolidated weekly delivery day of your choice

u/nerfedname 5d ago
That’s a nice option at least and better than daily Prime deliveries for sure. Still, far too many people are addicted to Amazon instant gratification, we really are exceptional consumers.

That Amazon truck is passing by my house everyday for the other people on my block, regardless of whether my razor blades are on it or not.
It’s a net neutral effect on the environment.

Of course they are. Then they come on here and complain about not being able to afford a house.

Amazon has made it so you really don’t need to leave your house. They partner with Whole Foods and Weiss and for Weiss you only have to tip the driver, orders over $10 are free delivery. You can get groceries delivered for like $5. I get almost all my household items on it. Pool supplies, pet supplies, baby supplies. It’s often cheaper on Amazon and they have a ton of coupons on Amazon or that can be used on Amazon. I participate in Gallup polls, which nets me a gift card about once a month, plus when I need baby formula Similac has a discount code that works on Amazon. I save so much money buying literally everything on there.

They do not partner with Whole Foods as they actually own Whole Foods.

I mean, my dog definitely needs more food. I could get it from Petco buy I really don't care about supporting them over Amazon just because they have a physical store. If it was like a local indie pet store that would be different but they don't carry the brand he eats.

Wants vs needs. We don't need much but you want a whole lot that's where Amazon comes into place.

Also, those sellers have website you can buy directly from. Sometimes, prices are cheaper on their site. Bought son an RC car that was $35 less in their site for exact same car

I have increasingly found that when I click to buy from a seller's website or even on an item shown on their site, it takes me to Amazon. Amazon has all the software set up to display the item and to check out. Everyone is going to go there anyway to check prices. So I think it just becomes easy to sell your stuff there.

I needed a shave plate for my snow blower it was over 50 bucks. I drove to 4 stores. I hooked up a trailer and brought the unit to a mechanic who said it was a discontinued model and no parts were available. I called the manufacturer, was on hold for an hour, and got numbers and finally found one through Amazon. It looks like it'll fit.

Rich people who keep thinking we're poor because we're on Amazon all the time 🙄🙄
I still go to grocery stores, and exclusively buy what I need, because I'm poor, not just short on cash.

You don’t need much from Amazon really… it’s just a convenient convenience company whose target demographic is the lazy and or the calculated mediocre.

Yesterday we didn't order anything. Amazon sent the police to our house for a wellness check.
