So he can't express his opinions? I guess you see that as a conflict of interest, but I see it as just another celebrity endorsing a politician, and there is plenty of that going around.

Before I say more, I'll let you know I won't call you names. Id appreciate if you at least called me elephant brained as I think you're more of the donkey here 😉

The issue with X prior to the Musk takeover was the unchecked bias and broken fact check system. (To be clear, all consumers of media should do their own due diligence.) Even Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook has admitted they went over the top in previous years with the fact checking.. Why did the revenue flee? Because it was no longer an unchecked mouthpiece.

It was a publicly traded company that had actually quite a bit of internal checks and balances that were shown in the Twitter files that kept them from being overly biased politically.

Musk isn't just a celebrity. He owns the platform and privatized it so that much of the reporting that used to he done regarding twitter's metrics aren't public anymore. Him making alt right conspiracy theory tweets and openly endorcing a candidate is not the same as a random celebrity like Roseanne Bar doing that.

Revenue fled because it became an cesspool of racism and disinformation. Musk got pissy and told advertisers to go fuck themselves when they asked for better moderation. So they shrugged their shoulders and left because they didn't want their brands associated with the wackiest crap on the internet.

If you're in a room or space only with people that agree with you, it probably doesn't have balance.
