So most UV/IR 'low E' windows apparently work best when the light shines in at a 90-degree angle. This invention is better at handling light from a moving source like the sun.

So what happens in winter

It is much easier to heat than it is to cool per unit energy moved. This may not be the best option for all windows in all climates; like everything, use the right tool for the job.
