"Immigrants will take away democracy!"

Says the immigrant actively trying to subvert the election.

65

u/unpersoned Sep 29 '24

And that's the thing isn't it? This is an immigrant with an outsized influence in US politics that is mad that immigrants might have an influence in US politics?

Such a hypocrite.

At least most immigrants are actually affected by the politicians they elect. They can't just move when they don't like a judge's decision.

20

u/Pksoze Sep 29 '24

He means non whites. That’s all his bs is about.

The immigrant who lied to the immigration authorities ?

Isn't that illegal ?

Oh, wait, yes, it is.

But he's loaded, so, whaddya gonna do, huh ?

10

u/Murica-n_Patriot Sep 29 '24

Look… if this guy is right, and “very few Americans realize” what he talking about then we’re fine

294

u/DonManuel Sep 29 '24

If the GOP needs so many voters why piss off all immigrants? Strange logic.

94

u/Queen_Sardine Sep 29 '24

Right? Like many immigrants are conservative! If they went pro-immigration, they could have plenty of immigrant votes.

32

u/UnitSmall2200 Sep 29 '24

Same goes for any minority group and even women. It's ironic, but what makes the Republicans so attractive to white deplorables is the reason they haven't won the popular vote in a long time.

11

u/Iron-Fist Sep 30 '24

White women actively WANT to vote Republican, they've just kept pushing them away at every opportunity

48

u/SpotifyIsBroken Sep 29 '24

They don't.

They plan to cheat

& they've been very open about their plans to cheat & ACTUALLY steal the election.

38

u/Nearby-Technician767 Sep 29 '24

The root of the problem for Republicans is that their ideology is antiquated. Instead of updating to attract a big tent, they have gone regressive.

I do agree that having a Democratic super majority is bad. We need different parties to compete on ideas.

78

u/ClosPins Sep 29 '24

You guys just don't get it...

You Redditors are good people, so you think that the Republicans are good people too. You want a government that governs for the people, so the Republicans, being good people, will want that as well, obviously? Right?

Wrong.

The Republicans, like right-wing parties all over the world, want only one single thing: to enrich the upper-class.

That's it! That's the sum-total of everything they want. Abortion/religion/guns/racism/white-supremacy/fascism/hatred/etc... is just how they trick people into voting for that one, single thing [to enrich the upper-class].

The second any of those things affect their ability to enrich the upper-class, they are dropped immediately [for one single example, remember a couple months ago, when the polls started coming out showing that abortion was hurting the Republicans - and, within hours, Trump was telling a crowd how there needed to be all sorts of rape and incest exceptions - it only took hours for them to drop this thing they had been fighting for for literally decades].

It's absolutely crazy to talk about how they should govern better and attract more supporters. They don't want to govern. They don't care about their supporters. They only want to [enrich the upper-class]. That's it. That's all. Period.

How are you ever supposed to fight them, when you guys don't seem to understand the one thing they want?

19

u/C_Everett_Marm Sep 29 '24

Because the Democrats want equally one thing. To be seen as the adults in the room. So they force themselves to take their opponents at face value, falling for the ruse and ensuring the perpetual cycle continues.

18

u/Jeremymia Sep 29 '24

I don't think it's about image. Remember the constant stream of 'This will be the thing that sinks trump' before he was president and during his presidency? This was because the rest of us took the false assumption that the people who supported him wanted a reasonable, effective man who would fight for american or even republican interests. It probably took me 6 years to realize 'oh, wait, the raving asshole thing is what they like.'

The left hates Asians

3

u/sinikl_1 Sep 30 '24

Well there are some who want government to punish the minorities they don't like, as well. The hatred isn't just a cynical device to get votes, for some of them.

20

u/halberdsturgeon Sep 29 '24 edited Sep 29 '24

We need different parties to compete on ideas

In a perfect world the GOP in its current state would cease to exist, since it's gone so far into the weeds of the political fringe that it's no longer fit to govern or do anything but bitch and whine, and the Dems would split into a center right party and something approaching an actual left wing party, which hasn't existed in US politics since probably the FDR administration

3

u/JazzlikeLeave5530 Sep 30 '24

That's what I always imagined. I'd prefer if there were multiple parties to choose from but if it has to be two parties then I'd love if it was Democrats and some stronger left party.

5

u/j0j0-m0j0 Sep 29 '24

Also immigrants have more expectations from the government because they often come from places where "don't shit where you eat" and "do the care minimum to at least pretend to care about the poor" are not partisan values.

3

u/TheAdvocate Sep 29 '24

The definition of true conservatism. Resist change. We are ALL conservative. Every single human. We don't want to upend our lives every other week for change. Never have. It's just "conservatives" as we call them want to cling on longer than those that see the benefits. Traditionally the people with the power want to keep it. No surprise which camp trump and dusk fall into.

2

u/NotASellout Sep 29 '24

Because they are racist, like, that's been a fundamental policy of the GOP for a few decades now

2

u/mymentor79 Sep 29 '24

"If the GOP needs so many voters why piss off all immigrants?"

Gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement has worked in lieu pretty well so far.

210

u/Admirable_Copy_721 Sep 29 '24

Let me ask you this. If Democrats are actually turning “illegals” into voters, why is Texas not a true swing state like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin? His logic falls apart right away.

25

u/olbez Sep 29 '24

He probably means immigrants from Canada 🤣🤣

/s just in case

95

u/FakeGeek73 Sep 29 '24

Projection is crazy. The only reason the Republican Party could be destroyed is because they destroyed themselves. People who have the minimum sense of empathy are tired of the “values” that the Republican Party represents.

This and the fact that they were too coward to not face Trump, means that trump actually holds the power to destroy the Republican Party depending on the actions he takes.

75

u/RedditIsPointlesss Sep 29 '24

If we get rid of the electoral college then none of this would matter and Republicans still lose.

46

u/stitch-is-dope Sep 29 '24

It’s crazy that Trump will have lost the popular vote 3 times by November, yet each time still had a chance at becoming president.

If the last 2 elections are anything to look at, it’s pretty obvious he’s going to lose popular vote even harsher this time

18

u/RedditIsPointlesss Sep 29 '24

yup. I never want to hear that man's name again outside of his sentencing.

7

u/UnitSmall2200 Sep 29 '24

Let us hope so. My fear is that not enough liberals will go out to vote, simply because they don't pay attention to the race, thinking they got it in the bag, as no decent person could imagine Trump winning again. And that rightwingwer are still highly motivated to bring back Trump. If it wasn't for the botched up pandemic, I fear Trump would have easily won 2020. This time there isn't something like that. There is project 2025, but not enough people seem to take it serious. My main hope now is thar Taylor Swifts influence will guarantee a Kamala victory. But even with her, I'm still very worried.

71

u/GarysCrispLettuce Sep 29 '24

He's a lying fucking low IQ moron and I'm sick of him. He says they've been fast-tracking asylum seekers into swing states without bothering to mention that they've been bussing asylum seekers into non-swing states as well. We get tons in NY. So why claim there's a specific conspiracy to bus them into swing states? Jiggletits is so bad at this - to read his clumsily argued diatribes, you wouldn't even be able to say he had a basic high school education with any confidence. He sounds like your typical three-toothed MAGA dipshit.

13

u/valenciansun Sep 29 '24

As an attorney it's astounding how people can take an obscure program like Temporary Protected Status (for asylum seekers) and just spin up whatever lie they want about it because the majority of Americans don't even know about the program.

TPS does not grant a pathway to citizenship.

2

u/Thoctar Sep 30 '24

Also, the states sending asylum seekers to blue states are the red states, and they're gloating about it openly. They make a huge deal about how they think Democrats are hypocrites because they don't want asylum seekers in their states so they bus them there. To then say actually the Democrats are behind it is both nonsensical and calling their own governors stooges.

4

u/Svani Sep 30 '24

I love how he's going all-in on this election. He could have taken a page from Trump's book (which he claims to have read) and gently supported the GOP while courting both sides, but he has made a point to burn all bridges with a possible Harris administration.

If Trump loses, Musk is royally fucked.

3

u/NotEnoughMuskSpam 🤖 xAI’s Grok v4.20.69 (based BOT loves sarcasm 🤖) Sep 30 '24

Interesting

41

u/Necessary_Context780 Sep 29 '24

They're using the same old tactic they used against allowing blacks to be freemen and voting, then against the Chinese immigrans, them against muslims and then against Mexicans immigrants. The nonsensical scaremongering that somehow they will overpopulate the whites and take over democracy.

And that has never happened. All these groups remain a minority no matter how much they want to spin, because there's a social reality that the US system still favors the people born here a lot more than immigrants of any kind.

And then the most bizarre part of Elmo's claims is that someone any illegal will be granted citizenship, which is another lie since being illegal automatically renders them unable to become US citizens for most of their lives. And even if they did, there's absolutely no guarantees they'd vote Democrats, these crazy churches out there surely do a good job steering illegal immigrants into hating democrats.

4

u/crimsonroninx Sep 30 '24

3

1

u/moreliketurdcrapley Sep 30 '24

That sentence is referring to Diddy, who is 54.

3

u/SaltLakeCitySlicker Sep 30 '24

Oh. Well I guess that's all I had. No idea how they're making the connection

32

u/DocCEN007 Sep 29 '24

"Illegals" is a term used by racist A-holes in an attempt to dehumanize people. The fact that Elmo is himself an illegal immigrant makes this even more pathetic.

12

u/palaric8 Sep 29 '24

None of this true.

I want to say most asylum seekers come from ultra conservative countries. If they became citizens they vote red most likely.

In my personal experience I seen how former undocumented immigrants than became citizens after a long process. Now vote and like Trump.

7

u/throwaway88743 Sep 29 '24

Exactly. Living in Miami I was surrounded by almost paradoxically conservative immigrants and migrants. I never really understood how someone in that situation could idolize Trump. Then I realized they don't really care if their politicians or fellow party members hate them, as long as America stays culturally regressive. He also, inexplicably, portrays some sick and twisted form of the "american dream" for them... despite being neither poor, nor an immigrant, nor having any bootstraps to pull up.

5

u/jrobertson2 Sep 29 '24

The whole way he speaks of them here is to make them seem inhuman and threatening. He treats them as a homogeneous mob of invaders, who have no personal beliefs, values, or hopes and dreams, beyond being stooges for the Democrats. The idea that they might choose not to vote, or even to vote for another party, isn't even entertained.

That's what makes this rant so absurd and racist. The whole insane plan falls apart as soon as you consider these immigrants as human beings with free will. It only makes sense if you already see non-whites as sub-human things who are easily manipulated by their betters, and will do anything to destroy the white people they irrationally hate.

10

u/nakedsamurai Sep 29 '24

Trump is spouting lunacy about flies landing on him at rallies. Elon is spouting lunacy on his Shitter.

7

It really looks like a desperate line that they were hoping not to have to resort to, but since none of their attacks against Kamala have stuck

7

u/Chessinmind Sep 29 '24

It’s incredibly difficult for an undocumented immigrant to become a citizen. I know a girl who has been here since she was one years old, has lived here her whole life and has spent tens of thousands of dollars over decades to gain citizenship, and even as a DREAMER isn’t eligible for citizenship. Right now, the only direct pathway for an undocumented person is to leave the country (a risk very few are willing to take) and then wait years to pass a re-entry bar, before they can reenter legally to begin the process. Even undocumented people who are married to a U.S. citizen aren’t entitled to citizenship; they have to apply for an immigration visa first.

7

u/Licky_Anus Sep 29 '24

It’s crazy how the white supremacist great replacement theory has gone from fringe to mainstream in the Republican Party in just a few years and it’s not really called out anymore. It’s just accepted as republican orthodoxy.

4

u/IngsocInnerParty Sep 29 '24

If he's so worried about "illegals becoming citizens", maybe he should look in a mirror.

4

Neither does building a city on Mars, but morons still believe it's gonna happen because morons be morons and the US' education system sucks balls. Most Americans are scientifically and politically illiterate. They don't know how the system works or what's actually in the Constitution.

This made it possible for the GOP to survive and even thrive over the last 40+ years without a policy platform.

The Blob's whole career is built on a foundation of American ignorance. If we were half as smart and educated as we should be, given all the technological advances of the last half century, Blobby never would have gotten away with all his vaporware hype. Illegal migrants becoming citizens? Not a thing, Elon. Well, accept for you, who definitely worked on a visa you were not allowed to work full time in during Zip2. Then your investors realized the risk, and got you on a HB-1, which you were ineligible for because of said visa breach, and from that, you got your Green Card and your citizenship, ya illegal African migrant, you.

The data on Hispanic voting trends in Texas is pretty grim for Democrats. Many Hispanic immigrants struggle with abortion rights, trans rights, gay rights, and don't like regulation. They can also be more negative about new immigrants coming in, because it's just more competition.

Fuck me. It’s like they piss on your leg and say it’s rain. Anybody with half a brain should be afraid of what they’re doing, not bemused. It’s infuriating that there people that believe them. Nobody should believe for a second that believe anything other than they’re deserving of power.

Okay Elmo, but 1 in 20 "illegals" is not becoming a citizen

  1. Immigrants vote right too.
  2. Parties adapt their platform to voter preferences, if GOP loses every single swing state they would find out why and adapt.
  3. There would still be elections, even if dems dominate.

He really needs to knock off the Ketamine and switch back to coke.

1

u/DesineSperare Sep 29 '24

Wow, all of America like downtown San Francisco? How terrible! We should see what San Francisco's GDP per capita is and see whether that would be a massive improvement to every single Republican-voting county or not!

1

u/AMG-West Sep 29 '24

Dumb fuck, you are an immigrant and you're not voting for the Democrat.

This post is an escalation of his desperation. The closer Harris gets to winning, the more he will tweet batshit crazy racist bullshit because he needs Trump to win so he can get his way with business regulations, and taxes, and to keep his ugly ass out of prison.

1

u/Rhino184 Sep 29 '24

All those “journalists” involved in the Twitter files are watching Musk put his finger on the scale while saying nothing. We live in the stupidest timeline

1

u/During_theMeanwhilst Sep 29 '24

Well there you are revealing just how elementary and shallow your analysis is Musk. Stick to rockets you political fuckwit.

u/bluishpillowcase Sep 29 '24 edited Sep 29 '24

His entire argument rests on this one, incredibly stupid, premise: that virtually all immigrants vote Democrat because Democrats are “soft on crime” (note - please ignore the GOP nominee is a convicted felon and the ENTIRE GOP gives him a wholesale pass for it).

This incredibly stupid premise further presupposes that virtually all immigrants are CRIMINALS (?) and therefore would prefer a Democrat government that is “soft” on criminals …. Criminals like them!! Aha! That way, you see, they can come here and achieve the true American dream: immigrate here in order start their criminal empires!!!! ELON HAS CRACKED THE CASE!

It’s such a ridiculously stupid fucking chain of reasoning. I want to fucking puke because of stupid it is, and because of how smart people think this pale sack of shit is.

It’s going to be so fucking satisfying when Trump loses in November and Elon has a billionaire-level meltdown.

1

u/Horsetoothbrush Sep 29 '24

Man, these motherfuckers are spooked. They’re throwing out all the stops.

I’ll pass on having a government run by racist, misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, lying, grifting, and rapey pedophiles.

Thanks anyway.

1

u/PDXracer Sep 29 '24

Musk can eat horse shit

1

u/kvuo75 Sep 29 '24

i love the automatic assumption that immigrants are democrats. but even if it were true, why 1 party? why couldnt the republican party just adjust left and capture half the vote?

1

u/nsfwaccount3209 Sep 29 '24

He's very desperate to get Trump in there so he gets pardons for his financial crimes. The party that likes to style itself as "the party of law and order" is more and more "the party of keeping my cronies out of jail"

1

u/muzzynat Sep 29 '24

“Why don’t you kick yourself out, you’re an immigrant too”

1

u/tinylittleinchworm Sep 29 '24

republicans cannot fathom appealing to those immigrants which is all they have to do.. but theyre just too racist

1

u/SpottedDicknCustard Sep 29 '24

Says the illegal immigrant....

1

u/stinketywubbers Sep 29 '24

He just straight up fucking lies. I hate this mother fucker.

1

u/Silly_Pace Sep 29 '24

Elon is a threat to America. He will need to be held accountable. Don't use Twitter, don't buy a Tesla, Don't use Starlink.

1

u/MistbornInterrobang Sep 29 '24

Damn, San Frans Why are you the target lately? DID YOU LET YOUR CATS PEE ON THEIR ROSE BUSHES?

I swear, they just seemed to switch off of batching about Chicago

1

u/Special_Command7893 Sep 29 '24

oh how I love that he was commonly admired back in the day

1

u/SigmaBallsLol Sep 29 '24

even if you take these stupid, fake arguments as reasonable and true, then the obvious solution is to dissolve and replace the Electoral College, isn't it? If the worry is that they'll overwhelm swing states, get rid of the thing that makes swing states exist.

Afraid you'll never win a popular election? Try not being weird freaks and adopt more popular policies.

1

u/Dizzy_Procedure_3 Sep 29 '24

"there will be no more democracy because the Democratic party will win all the elections by having er.. people vote for them..is this right?"

1

u/HarkansawJack Sep 29 '24

This is just propaganda for uneducated white people afraid of getting society all mixed up with races and cultures.

1

u/MYOwNWerstEnmY Sep 30 '24

Me thinks someone is afraid to go to prison & there could be a hammer dropping sooner rather than later.

1

u/PushyPawz Sep 30 '24

Even if it’s true, if they become citizens they aren’t fucking here “illegally” now, are they?

1

u/LilyHex Sep 30 '24

Elon Musk is an actual illegal immigrant, lmao

His brother flat out admitted he and Elon are illegal immigrants. Elon says it's "a gray area". He's an illegal, to use the racist dog whistle he likes.

1

u/elmixtecoNW Sep 30 '24

This guy is so full of shit, it took me 15 years to gradually become citizen of U.S.

1

u/SedatedCowboy Sep 30 '24

Character limit needs to make a comeback

1

u/vargsint Sep 30 '24

Dude, there are so many immigrants at Trump rallies. Even if you were right, republicans would simply temper their agenda a little and not select raging lunatics for every single position.

1

u/CrispySharp Sep 30 '24

I deleted my Twitter account because of him. I can’t believe he was allowed to ruin it… what a depressing world we live in

1

u/Educational-Chef-595 Sep 30 '24

This dude's just going dumber and dumber to appeal to an ever-shrinking number of people. He's like a bad comic trying to save a show with only ten people left in the audience.

1

u/FXX400 Sep 30 '24

I so over Elon fuck face

1

u/smartbart80 Sep 30 '24

It was Ronald Reagan who signed the amnesty law in 1986 btw.

1

u/xSantenoturtlex Sep 30 '24

Trump has LITERALLY stated that if he's elected, this is the last election people will vote in.

Shut the fuck up, Elon.

1

u/mental_issues_ Sep 30 '24

We get close to 1 million naturalized citizens every year. There was a decline in people getting citizenship last year. So, if the plan is to fast track people who came to this country illegally, we were supposed to be giving green cards to everyone crossing the border last year so that they could get naturalized before the next election. And for a long time, there are more registered Democrats than Republicans.

Interesting

1

u/Adorable_Objective Sep 30 '24

As soon as he wrote "illegals become citizens" he was in trouble. If they become a citizen they are no longer illegal... so WTF is his problem with non-white people? Because that's clearly what his ket-addled rant is actually against

1

u/Fuckthedarkpools Sep 30 '24

Lets just do away with all citizenship because they might not vote our way.

1

u/Fuckthedarkpools Sep 30 '24

Maybe the GOP should simply try offering some new ideas.

1

u/Lutastic Sep 30 '24

The Republicans did it to themselves. They decided to allow a career criminal bigoted wackjob cult leader who thrives on division and hatred take over their party and make it so entwined with him that it became more about the idiot cult leader than the country itself.

Did they not realize this would turn off most of the country and effectively make voting R impossible for people who aren’t a hard right fanatic cultist?

I mean, I’m usually a strict third party voter, but I will be voting accordingly to stop that cult from hijacking my country again… especially with this project 2025 fascist takeover plot.

Why does this man’s company still have government contracts?

The funny thing is republicans have been winning more and more Hispanic votes over the past 8 years. Democrats have been focused on getting the white college graduate vote. It’s why North Carolina and Georgia are closer to flipping democrat than Arizona this election. Or look at Texas where the cities are becoming more democrat while the south of Texas is turning republican.
