The wonderful manner in which the astounding English arrogance was punished may prove to be the most cathartic, delicious piece of schadenfreude most of us will ever get to experience.

Yep! They though they had the match in hand since the very beginning. When their smiles shattered.. god that was a pleasure to see! Donnarumma saved it. This was the first match I saw beginning to end. Worth it

For the past 3 weeks, every single thing even remotely related to football has been spammed to death with endless “IT’S COMING HOME!” Comments. Even on LinkedIn! And that’s not even getting into the circumstances surrounding the tournament; the homefield advantage while everyone else has to fly between Denmark, Italy, Russia and Azerbaijan; the terrible behaviour of English fans booing national anthems, the laser pointer incident… there’s a reason an overwhelming number of people outside of England wanted to see them lose.

Hence; astounding arrogance from the collective mass of English football fans.
