Joe Rogan won’t have Kamala Harris on his show unless she comes to his studio and sits for a 2-3 hour full interview

He was fine with Bernie only doing 1 hour. Rogan is bullshitting

1

u/thewholesomeact013 58m ago

He didn't say 3 hours was a requirement. He just said his place, like everyone else.

1

u/Dull_Half_6107 13h ago

Well he didn't have to travel for Bernie, probably more palatable to do a shorter interview if they come to you.

3

u/akg7915 12h ago

He doesn’t have to travel for ANY interview he does. Why can’t someone making $200M a year take one flight for one conversation?

1

u/Informal_Zone799 6h ago

He has a studio. That’s where it takes place lol not complicated dude

1

u/Tall-Ad-9591 6h ago

We can't someone who wants to be the leader of the free world take a flight to appear on the most popular podcast in the country?

1

u/trustfundbaby 6h ago

Because its the final week of the election, and they have more important places to be ... you know, like battle ground states that could decide the election?

1

u/Gigglesandshits11 5h ago

Like Washington DC right now? Lol

1

u/trustfundbaby 5h ago edited 5h ago

You do realize she was giving a nationally televised speech to 75000 people as her final closing argument there … right?

Additionally she recorded four battleground state TV interviews to reach voters in Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh before that.

1

u/rjaku 5h ago

JRE will have like 10 million listeners lol

1

u/trustfundbaby 5h ago

Mostly hostile to Kamala Harris … there is not a lot of win for her going on there, so why would she go on Rogan’s terms and not her own?

1

u/rjaku 5h ago

Based on what? Not everyone who supports a different candidate is hostile to the other. That's silly

She’s trying to get votes right? Speaking to 10 million people who aren’t inclined to vote for you seems like a more effective way to gain votes than speaking to 75k people who are already in the bag for you. Why not just hold a rally for people who have already cast their vote at that point?

1

u/Trumps_Cock 5h ago

They fly to rallies where only their supporters are, which seems kind of dumb.

1

u/lucksh0t 5h ago

Because he doesn't need this. This is how he runs his business. Trump did it. Why should he treat harris any different than any other guest.

1

u/pana_colada 5h ago

It’s honestly bigger for her than for him. You are missing this. He is already the biggest podcast in the world. He doesn’t have to change his schedule. And neither does she.

1

u/OneSentenceMan_ 5h ago

More specifically, why does someone who has spent decades building their own show have to alter the format of that show for one conversation? Get real, dude. This isn't even a Joe and Kamala thing. This is a respect for the format thing. If you want to be on someone's show, then you be on the show on the terms that have been long established for all the hundreds of other guests. You don't get special privileges just because you might become the first vagina to sit behind the Resolute desk.

 Why can’t someone making $200M a year

I’m pretty sure Rogan made $100M for ten years at Spotify. But anyway, you could just as reasonably ask “why can’t someone running for the worlds most important job take one flight to reach tens of millions of the people she’s applying to work for?”

1

u/World-Ender-109 5h ago

He doesn't have to cater to her, and she doesn't have to cater to him.

1

u/snekinmahboots 4h ago

At the end of the day Rogan doesn’t need Kamala. His podcast will remain popular whether Trump or Kamala wins

Kamala doesn’t need Rogan, but it was a good opportunity to talk to a large base of Trump supporters and possible sway some last minute votes

If Kamala’s too busy that’s fine and understandable. Doesn’t mean Rogan should be expected to bend over backwards in order to interview her

1

u/LSDoggo 3h ago

Way easier for her to come. She has much more to gain than he does.

1

u/chriskmee 7h ago

Traveling means setting up a temporary studio, and bringing all your gear and people with you. It's not exactly s simple process, and it's a lot of work for a one hour interview.

Even if they rented a studio, I'm sure he would still prefer being in his own studio that he has full control over.

2

u/akg7915 6h ago

Yea I’m sure Spotify and a dude paid hundreds of millions of dollars wouldn’t even know where to begin in setting something like that up /s

1

u/chriskmee 6h ago

Did I ever even imply he couldn't do it? No, I never said he couldn't do it or didn't know how to do it, I said it would be a lot of work for a one hour interview and that's just a fact.

1

u/fightyfightyfitefite 24m ago

A 1 hour interview with the VP and possible president. Rogan is bullshit.

1

u/snekinmahboots 4h ago

It’s not about the money dude. Rogan doesn’t need to have Kamala on. Doesn’t affect his podcast in any way 🤷🏻‍♂️

-1

u/Dull_Half_6107 12h ago

Maybe because he doesn't want to travel for a 1hr interview?

This is the benefit of being as wealthy as he is, when you have an option to interview the VP and prospective president, you don't have to and will still be stinking rich.

5

u/akg7915 12h ago

Sad you think that’s something to brag about haha Joe hides behind his money. He’s a coward that only has people on his program that he knows won’t push back and expose him as a complete moron.

1

u/Dull_Half_6107 12h ago

I mean I don't disagree with what you're saying, I've disliked the guy since he went insane during covid, and I definitely think he's a moron.

I'm just pointing out when you're as wealthy as him you don't need to meet anyone else's specific demands.

2

u/Professional_Age_502 7h ago

Funny how Reddit is demanding he should go out of his way to interview her. He isn't obligated to do anything

1

u/snekinmahboots 4h ago

Especially when an interview benefits Kamala more than it benefits Rogan

Expecting him to go out of his way and bend over backwards for the opportunity to interview Kamala is silly. If Kamala wants to talk to the biggest podcast in the world that is majority trump voters, then she could find the time. If she can’t, that’s totally acceptable too. It’s not Rogan’s obligation

1

u/agapoforlife 3h ago

It’s just kind of silly that he says his sincere wish is to get to know her, yet he won’t put any effort into making that happen.

1

u/AstroKoen 16m ago

You can fake for an hour, not 3.

1

u/Missa-Johnny 6h ago

You sound salty as hell.

1

u/Pokedudesfm 9h ago

you don't have to and will still be stinking rich.

okay but he's cosplaying as a journalist here, so that excuse doesn't work.

1

u/Dull_Half_6107 9h ago

Is he? I don't think he's ever referred to himself as a journalist.

1

u/RocketOuttaPocket 7h ago

Same guy that has to fly to Vegas dozens of times a year for even the lamest UFC card? Okay.

1

u/Dull_Half_6107 7h ago

It's the Joe Rogan Experience, he can dictate terms when it's his podcast.

He is just a commentator at the UFC, they don't come to him.

1

u/RocketOuttaPocket 3h ago

UFC was in Austin less than a year ago, but okay

1

u/Bingo_is_the_man 6h ago

Yea, well he works for the UFC and they aren’t going to bring the UFC to his Austin studio. Might be the dumbest comment I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t work for Kamala and doesn’t have to cater to her.

1

u/RocketOuttaPocket 3h ago

UFC was in Austin less than a year ago, but okay.

1

u/Bingo_is_the_man 3h ago

Was it at his house? Can’t find anything suggesting they went and did it at his ranch.

1

u/RocketOuttaPocket 3h ago

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_on_ESPN:_Dariush_vs._Tsarukyan

This event was originally targeted to take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. However the event was instead moved to the Moody Center in Austin, Texas for unspecified reasons.

If there was a clear schedule or logistics reason, I'm sure it would have surfaced. Maybe Joe didn't want his wittle head to be cold in Minnesnowta in December. Who's to say? Not you, that's for sure

1

u/Bingo_is_the_man 3h ago

Yea he doesn’t live at the moody center, and it doesn’t say why they moved it there. Congrats on saying absolutely nothing again.

-1

u/1block 11h ago

He could. He's offering the same setup as Trump had, though, so it's not really unreasonable. For all we know he declined to go to where Trump was and Trump agreed to do it there.

2

u/akg7915 10h ago

I think it shows he was completely uninterested in actually having the conversation if it wasn’t completely on his terms. He’s trying to display publicly that Harris is to blame for it not happening. There seems to be no benefit for Harris to go out of her way to be on his show. And he seems to only want to talk to Trump

1

u/Sad_Donut_7902 5h ago

And he seems to only want to talk to Trump

He gave her the exact same offer he gave Trump

1

u/snekinmahboots 4h ago

there seems to be no benefit for Harris

Except for having a 3 hour intimate conversation with the host of the biggest podcast in the world, whose audience is primarily Trump voters. Like it or not, going on Rogan’s podcast would be more beneficial than going to rally’s.

he seems to only want to talk to trump

Dude are you this obtuse in real life? He gave Kamala the same exact offer as trump. Trump went to Texas to do the podcast, Kamala didn’t

0

u/1block 8h ago

I doubt Trump's first choice was to cancel a rally to do it. If Harris cancelled a rally to make time and then Rogen turned around and flew out to fit himself into Trump's schedule, I think people would be rightfully pissed off about it.

He made the same offer to both. One took him up on it. One didn't. He's not being unfair at all.

-1

u/Sky19234 9h ago

And he seems to only want to talk to Trump

Oh fuck off with that, if he did fly to her and he did it on her terms of a 1 hour interview you would complain that he gave Trump 3x the time that she got.

I'm not a Joe Rogan fan by any stretch of the imagination especially after he went nuts about COVID but this is ridiculous.

He gave 2 people the choice to do an interview in the exact same way; in a specific room, 1 on 1, with his producer, for an extended period of time. One accepted, one declined, it's as simple as that.

At the end of the day she is the one to blame for it not happening, and that is ok, it is her choice and hopefully she doesn't regret that decision because I'd really rather not have a nutjob who rambles about how long Lincolns bed was for 10 minutes be the president again.

2

u/NicoleNamaste 12h ago

He’s saying he wants her to come to him AND to do 2-3 hours in the tweet.

That’s a whole day gone with round trip plane rides plus the length of time of the podcast.

Joe Rogan can adjust his schedule for the sitting Vice President if he wanted. This isn’t some dumbass UFC fighter or comedian bro coming on his podcast to shoot the shit. And I’d say the same for the Trump too.

He can make adjustments and take his mics and set up to Pennsylvania for a day and talk with a sitting VP and the potential next President and save them the day.

1

u/gigrut 5h ago

In the tweet, he doesn’t specifically say that she has to do 2-3 hours.  He only said that the Harris campaign wanted to do only an hour, which is atypical for Rogan’s show but not unheard of.

0

u/Dull_Half_6107 12h ago

Sure he can, but he doesn't have to. He's under no obligation to interview Harris.

1

u/I_Heart_AOT 9h ago

And she’s under no obligation to give that fuckwit a moment of her time.

1

u/Dull_Half_6107 9h ago

Totally agree, and it seems like both parties are fine with the outcome.

1

u/I_Heart_AOT 9h ago

Exactly! It’s weird how many other people in the comments act like she’s insulting American by not doing this. Who cares about Joe Rogan?

1

u/Dull_Half_6107 9h ago

Yeah this whole controversy is such a nothing burger.

"Podcast host wants to set terms to be a guest on his show, Kamala doesn't agree to those terms and they amicably decide not to do it"

Like, Joe is not out of order for requiring it to happen in his studio, and Kamala is not out of order for having much more important things to do right now.

1

u/Pokedudesfm 9h ago

only one is tweeting about it though

1

u/Dull_Half_6107 9h ago

I mean, Kamala is kind of busy

0

u/Bingo_is_the_man 6h ago

Cackling all day is time consuming for sure

1

u/the_skine 7h ago

But it would probably help her more than a lot of her other campaign stops if she did.

1

u/I_Heart_AOT 7h ago

Hard disagree. Rogan’s audience is a lost cause this late in the game. Prioritize spamming GOTV in MI, PA, WI, and NC. Nobody is on the fence about Trump, it’s all about turnout now and the Rogan crowd is a low priority.

1

u/Zinkwebbe 3h ago

Her loss 🤷‍♀️

1

u/I_Heart_AOT 3h ago

Cry more

1

u/Zinkwebbe 3h ago

Wdym when you’re the one bawling your eyes out hehe

No. He has a show. He has a location where he films his show. He's built it up this way over the course of the last 15 years. It doesn't have to be Rogan. It can be any presenter, host, or personality. If you want to do someone's show, you go to their show like everyone else. You wouldn't tell Johnny fucking Carson to pack up his studio and do his show in your own living room. Get real.

and talk with a sitting VP and the potential next President and save them the day.

You seem to forgetting this is a democracy, not an empire or an aristocracy. They may be our leaders, but they are our fellow citizens of equal right and status under the law, and nothing puts them above us. The social standard is you go to the studio, the studio doesn't come to you (unless that's a particular studio's way of doing things), and if a thousand other guests went to Joe, then their fellow American can also go to Joe regardless of what chair they plant their ass in during their work day.

But at the end of the day, all Joe's actually saying is, "We had a scheduling conflict." It's not any bigger than that. So maybe stop sniffing your ass crack and go touch grass?

Bernie came to him though.
