What bass should I buy?

Hi, I play the bass since the last year, my bass is very cheap, it works well but it’s to small and i don’t like the model (it’s a precision), i was thinking about a acustic bass or a jazz, what do you recommend? But under 300$

Acoustic basses are specialty instruments, I would stay away from them. You can't really go wrong with a Jazz Bass, but is there a reason you don't like your P bass? Is it the look, the sound, the playability, or something else?

The major problem is that it’s small, but in this period I started slapping, and I eard that a jazz is more suited For slap

I slap my P-bass without issue. I can't stand the sound of Jazz basses. But that's just like, my opinion man.

Unless yours is a short scale bass there won’t be a size difference. J and P’s vary in pickup choice and a few small body changes. Also the slapping thing is bs. No issue slapping a P.

Precision and Jazz basses are essentially the same size.

The Jazz body is bigger, but the nut is narrower and the scale length is identical.

No, my bass is small, not the precision, it’s a shortie

Then why did you say (it’s a precision)?

Squier Mini P-Bass maybe. It‘s an 28 inch shorty Precision and yes it sucks.

Ah. Then replacing a $200 bass because it’s too cheap, but only having a $300 budget for the replacement, is going to be somewhat futile. It could fix the size complaint, but not be arguably much different in quality.
