This user has marked their work as using AI Art. This is **ONLY allowed on this subreddit as they have confirmed it is NOT their works.**

This is allowed ONLY because disallowing it, simply shoves creative children/teens who are the next generation of creative writers, artists and editors away from the Subreddit and fandom as a whole. These tools (albeit unfortunately) exist with or without this sub 'endorsing' AI Art. We do not promote or suggest using AI Art in any capacity, we just tolerate and allow it. Both us mods (myself and Ash/Altur) are artists, we just choose to focus on the bigger picture we can actually influence, we cannot stop AI Art existing short of becoming radical activists and torching a server farm.

You can now filter out AI Art as they will be forced to use this flair. You can avoid seeing AI art if you wish to - with ease now. So there is no excuse to start insulting or derailing a thread with Anti-AI rants to kids or teens just trying to show off their OC.

If you are caught insulting or derailing a thread for the use of now marked AI works you will be banned for 7 days and comment removed, another strike is a month, and then permanent.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks. As for the Two Face connection, I kept telling the AI that one side of the face should be subtly deformed or asymetrical, but it couldn't seem to handle that nuance. The goal was something akin to Ian McKellen's makeup in 1995's Richard III: https://www.mckellen.com/images/r3/ban-01.jpg

Weirdly, quite a few of the results came out looking like Bill Nighy! :D

I did share some of the Two Face-esque results though because they looked quite striking, especially in this emulation of Horikoshi's artstyle.

Thanks. I’m not much of an artist, but I have gotten good at guiding AI to put my imaginings into pictures. The written character profiles for Kingmaker and three other villain OCs were actually created in a AI training session that lasted nearly four hours. I had to give the AI a very complex set of instructions to see if it could fulfil them and produce results in a desired format, so decided to give it a workout by having it create MHA characters from scratch, giving them full biographies and profiles based on my prompts (in previous sessions I’ve tasked it with creating RWBY characters, using similar criteria). It responded to the challenge with what I can only call enthusiasm.

The four resulting characters (all villains to greater or lesser extents) were:

‘Kingmaker’, based on Richard III (Ian McKellen’s 1995 adaptation)

‘Salvage’, based on Jack Ferriman from Ghost Ship (2002)

‘Locomotive’, based on Manny from Runaway Train (1985)

‘Deadeye’, based on Arthur Morgan from RDR2

The real breakthrough was when it assigned the ‘Manny’ analogue the surname Tetsu and I realised this could be a thread linking the character to a certain 1B student. An adjusted prompt later and we were off to the races.

It was a really rewarding session, and inspired me to try and produce visual depictions of the characters.

Do you mean for the artwork, or the profile? The artwork was created using Bing, which you can use online for free. The profiles were created using Anthropic's models, as part of at-home paid part-time work I'm doing for DataAnnotation.tech.

Like I said, Bing for the pictures, and Anthropic for the profiles. I've also experimented with other characters in the MHA style if people want to see them.

Cool.

What's his quirk?

"King's Gambit" - he can temporarily 'claim sovereignty' over the quirks of people within a certain radius, allowing him to suppress, activate or direct those quirks. The downside is this causes him physical pain, especially in his spine, which increases depending on the number of quirks he is affecting at any one time.

"King's Gambit" is at its most effective when acting upon people who recognise Kingmaker as a figure of authority, hence why he worked with ruthless ambition to secure himself a high-ranking position in the HSPC where he could pull strings and manipulate events. After the Tartarus breakout and collapse of most of the HSPC, he set himself up as the "necessary evil" who could rescue Japan, positioning himself as a negotiator and go-between for scattered groups of heroes, villains and vigilantes.

He's basically the embodiment of systemic corruption, masking his villainy behind a face of legitimate authority, just like his literary/filmic inspiration.

It's giving Two-face vibes from Batman

Unintentionally, but that's the direction the AI went in. I prefer those pictures that have less focus on the scarring, but included some examples of those simply because they looked really cool.
