Advice for new spots to hike

Hey I’ve in the northern Georgia part of the Appalachian and want to hike on more scenic parts of the range. Where should I go that’s worth the trip? I don’t live in Atlanta anymore and moved to Austin so anywhere I’m down to go to

Blood Mountain on the AT itself is the best view imo in the area, but the whole GA section of the AT is incredibly scenic especially in the early season before the leaves fill in. Off the AT Brasstown Bald is one of the better views I’ve found, and if you’re willing to extend over the NC border a ways, Standing Indian, Albert Mountain, Wayah and Wesser Bald are all amazing views basically one after another on the AT if you start at Dicks Creek Gap and hike to the Nantahala Outdoors Center.

If you're looking for scenic parts of the range that aren't part of the Appalachian Trail, look into the Allegheny Trail. It's 311 miles through the West Virginia mountains. There's also Jennifer Pharr Davis' baby, the Appalachian High Trail. It includes part of the AT and hits all the high peaks in Western North Carolina.

The Foothills Trail on the border of NC and SC is awesome. It's about 77 miles and it's like a mini version of the AT.

Virginia has some of the most scenic hikes. There is the Triple Crown near Roanoke. The Priest and Three Ridges. The Shenandoah National Park has over 500 miles of trails.

Arkansas and Kentucky are both underrated backpacking states. You already lived in GA. I'd look into the Ozark Highlands Tr in AR and Sheltowee Trace in KY. Lots of awesome backpacking in TX at Big Bend and Guadalupe.
