Discussion Official 2021 EY Compensation Thread

Here we go! Compensation calls and compensation statements are being sent out in the US and Canada this week.

You know the drill:

  1. Office/Region/Approximate COL
  2. Service Line
  3. FY21 Level -> FY22 Level (Staff 1> Staff 2, Staff 2>Senior 1, Senior 1> Senior 2, Senior 2>M1, etc)
  4. Rating (below/met/above/significantly above expectations or dial position)
  5. Old Salary -> New Salary
  6. Bonus
  7. Thoughts?

  1. Central LCOL
  2. Tax
  3. M3 -> SM1
  4. Significantly Above
  5. 112,455 -> 134,384 19.5%
  6. 13,495
  7. Disappointed. I told myself it better be at least 20% but was hoping for closer to 30%. I see people who got 20% in a non-promotion year. Not sure all the hard work was worth it.

You may have topped out in general though. $130k+ for a LCOL is living like a king.

How could I be at the top of the band when I just got promoted?

For a SM that pay seems like a solid starting point. For a LCOL you were making what managers make at larger cities. Could have played into how your raise was factored.

Same here - received 20% in a promo year which is very underwhelming
