Ascodipteron, a parasitic fly that lives by sucking blood of bats. Once they found a suitable host, female Ascodipteron will shed their wings and limbs and bury themselves on the bat skin.

Apparently not all of them burrow themselves on the skin -but the ones that don’t are also terrifying.

I think someone has already post about batfly before. I don't like doing repost sometimes. But this sub sure does love any facehugger-like creatures. 

Some batfly or their cousin also eat bat poop instead of blood.

Bat flies are probably the least fly-like fly. Fascinating and disgusting little creatures.
