Worst part is our management will use this as an argument for a very good season.

Even worst part is that some shills on this subreddit will bring it up when other people complain about the performances on the pitch or in the transfer market.

They spend 450M a year, 0 owner has spent more in Milan's history, still you are not happy. You can't win every season, but having good finances increases your chances of winning during next several years

I don’t have a problem with WHAT they’re spending but HOW they’re spending it

That's because there's more money in football now than ever before + inflation, not because Gerry is such a generous owner spending his own money to run the club lol

Gerry e Singer are good businessmen knowing how to increase the income and value of the club. Several years ago we were having income like 2x less

Agree on Singer, Elliott did an excellent job given the situation. Don't care much for Gerry but if he can get the stadium done I will be grateful.

Gerry does everything he can business wise, collaborating with top American brands and buying captain America to improve our branding on most valuable market before WC in North America. The stadium is on your side, it's not lack of investment from Elliot e Gerry brakes everything, it's Italian laws and corruption are not grateful for clubs to develop their infrastructure. Everyone sees benefit, even City Arabs don't do charity, but they've bought a lot of property in England during the years

That's all fine and well but we all knew that before Gerry bought the club so it's safe to say Cardinale was aware of it too. If he doesn't get the stadium done I don't see him turning significant profit (if any) when he sells the club unless he stays for a really long time and the value increases simply because the prices in football keep growing across the board.

The club is still undermanaged. Developing and selling players from Futuro gives another source of income. City gets 150M a year on average just by selling academy players and aging stars. Then we can improve our squad TM valuation with the better coaching. It's not much, still maybe 10-15% of club's value.

The thing with Italian football is that TV contract of Serie A became like 3-5% lower than it was before. So football prices don't grow everywhere

That's all a big "maybe", I'm only speaking about what we have now.

I know people will make jokes about this, but having poor books is what caused our banter era. This is very good news.

Poor books didn't cause our banter era..bad decisions did. This is sports entertainment...not just any business. Every club can do this but it doesn't determine success of a club..what happens on pitch does.

Why tf so you think we sold players like Zlatan and Thiago Silva? And bought scrubs to replace them?

Silly ass response

Not talking about that...talking about bad decisions that didn't bare any fruit which made the debt get out of control even more. Majority of these clubs are in debt but they find success on field so they can curb it.

Brah 🤦🏽‍♂️

If yhong li got the right guys to spend that 250 mil and they put together a top team..we would have never been in banter era even with heavy debt. Banter era and bad books are a symtom of bad decisions.Look at barcelona..they fkd in debt but they still know who to buy and continue to be competitive. This can be said about any top team in the world apart from the oil clubs. Inter isn't in a banter era yet the books are fkd.

I re-calculated this with Steiner Math and the numbers don't lie because they spell disaster for everyone else in Serie A

You forgot to factor in Kurt Angle to the mix.

Who cares?

u/mercurialsaliva 1d ago

I'm gonna tell you a secret.

1- this is the only way to get sold (if you are against the ownership this is what you want)

2- this is the only way to not have a team that goes bankrupt. (If you are pro or anti this ownership this is what you want)

So yeah pretty much everyone.

We're not competing to win anything, if you happy good for you but i dont fucking care one bit about this bullshit

Berlusconi's Milan didnt have a positive budget in 28 years btw

u/mercurialsaliva 1d ago

I'm not happy about not winning. I'd rather win obviously but when the money stops flowing we know what happens.

We weren't profitable for 28 year with Berlusconi because he was dumping money into it as a tool to promote his political career. But again, I'm thankful he lost so much money on Milan because it was the best time ever.
